Board Meeting Minutes - December 13 2006

Members Present: Tom Straus, Becky Maddox, Jim Ivy, Malcolm Rodman, Nancy-Jane Griffith. Guests: Tom Griffith, Larmon Maddox.
Tom Straus brought the meeting to order. The first order of business was the election of board officers. Elected were Tom Straus - President, Dave Stoddard - Vice President, Malcolm Rodman - Treasurer, and Nancy-Jane Griffith - Secretary.
Malcolm gave the treasurer’s report. The account balance/member’s equity from July 1, 2006 to December 12, 2006 is $18,309.30.
Membership dues will stay the same for 2006-2007, with a pro-rated rate for partial-year membership.
The January 14 2007 concert will be the annual jam session. Dave Stoddard is in charge of the musicians. We will request that Cap City have their sound system operator present.
The board accepted a motion to rent a dance floor for this event. If we stay at Cap City, purchasing a dance floor with storage at Cap City will be considered.
Files--Old archives and recent files need to be stored in one central place. At the present time Malcolm has most of the files, but all files should be in the same location.
Jim Cullum concert--Becky has contacted Jim and he is amenable to a March concert. We are looking at March 18. A contract is “in the works.” A real piano will be provided for the concert.
